Pico de Gallo

This fresh tomato salsa is perfect as a side dish, taco topping, or dip for tortilla chips.

Ingredients:

  • Tacos – 4 ready-made tacos
  • Tomalicious tomato – 400 g
  • Onion – 1 medium-size
  • Green chiles – 2
  • Dry hot pepper – 1 tsp
  • Parsley – 1 small bunch
  • Coriander – 1 small bunch
  • Fine salt – To taste
  • Lime or lemon – 1

Preparation:

  1. Wash and cut the Tomalicious tomatoes into cubes. Transfer them to a sieve with thick meshes, so that they can lose some vegetation water.
  2. Prepare the onion: remove the driest outer layers and chop coarsely.
  3. Slice the green chiles after removing petiole, seeds and white filaments.
  4. Chop the dry hot pepper, the parsley and the coriander.
  5. Squeeze the lime.
  6. Combine your Tomalicious tomatoes in a salad bowl or glass bowl, add the green peppers, onion, hot pepper, parsley, lime juice and salt.
  7. Mix very well and use it to season your tacos!
